Our rooms were designed with utmost sophistication. The historical architectural elements were carefully conserved and every new element was designed and chosen for your comfort.
Porta Maestra contains only three suites. Our wish was to provide an intimate atmosphere of calm and serenity in the heart of a bustling ancient town.
After the building was restored a team of architects was selected to bring the villa up to date and bring modernity into the ancient walls. All the new pieces of furniture are artisanal production.
All the apartments have their own kitchens, TVs and air conditioning, and are fully equipped for sleeping, dining, and relaxing.
SUITE I/ 40 m²
Can host a maximum of 4 people
This suite is built into the city walls which date back to the 12th century. It is placed right above the arch of the main town gate which leads onto the piazza.
It has a double bed (160 x 200 cm) in the bedroom and a sofa-bed (140 x 200 cm) in the living room.
SUITE II/ 45 m²
Can host a maximum of 4 people
This suite includes a small balcony which overlooks the town piazza, the heart of Hvar.
The bedroom has a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and the living room has a sofa-bed (140 x 200 cm).
SUITE III/ 80 m²
Can host a maximum of 8 people
This suite has two levels – the whole of third floor and the attic.
The second floor provides a magical view of the piazza and the whole harbour from the balcony. The second level of the suite provides a view of the harbour on one side and the fortress on the other.
The upper floor has a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and sofa-bed (180 x 80 cm).
